Telehealth Recruiting Manager

We understand the urgent need for Acute Care Telehealth and the difficult challenges hospitals face filling gaps in coverage, improving the lifestyle of their on-site clinicians, and extending patient care in specialty areas. For over 10 years, Equum Medical has been staffing board certified Critical Care Physicians with an average of six years of tele-critical care experience in remote monitoring. We've enabled numerous hospitals and health systems to care for a large number of patients, improve patient care, and deliver a positive financial impact.

Role Purpose

The Telehealth Recruiting Manager is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and assessing talent to meet the staffing needs of the organization. The position builds talent pipelines by utilizing a diverse sourcing strategy and continually identifying new pipelines through research.

The Telehealth Recruiting Manager is mainly responsible for Telehealth Clinical Staff recruitment, including but not limited to:

  • Telehealth Physician Recruitment
  • Telehealth Nurse Recruitment
  • Other Telehealth APP (Advanced Practice Providers) Recruitment – e.g. sitters, technicians, assistants, etc.

The Telehealth Recruiting Manager will also contribute to occasional non-clinical staff recruitment (i.e. back-office administrative and management positions).

  • Administers and implements all aspects of the Company’s sourcing, recruiting, and hiring programs for exempt and non-exempt team members.
  • Develops and sustains relationships with hiring manager, partnering to ensure needs are understood and met.
  • Partners with hiring managers on workforce planning.
  • Proactively builds the candidate talent pool by seeking out and building relationships with top talent for current and future job openings, including direct recruiting, networking, social media, educational institutions, etc.
  • Networks to maintain active list of recruitment resources.
  • Manages and administers pre-employment screenings and background checks.
  • Tracks and maintains recruiting metrics.
  • Coaches hiring managers in appropriate recruiting and interviewing techniques and ensures their understanding of recruiting policies and procedures.
  • Keeps abreast of recruiting and sourcing trends.
  • Maintains current working knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, laws and regulations to ensure compliance and integrity of recruiting policies and procedures.
  • Conducts phone screens and in person interviews when needed, assessing candidate qualifications with position needs.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all company, client, employee, and vendor information.
  • Reacts productively to change.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience recruiting exempt and non-exempt clinical personnel (i.e. physicians, nurses, APPs, etc)
  • Experience in a Telehealth or Digital Health environment preferred

  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals
  • Attention to detail and good judgment
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office and applicant tracking systems
  • Mastery of behavioral interviewing and adherence to federal/state recruitment and selection labor laws
  • Ability to work effectively with others and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Position is in an indoor office setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions.

  • Position includes prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
